The Sherman Family
The Sherman Family is a true Family group, singing and playing together for over 30 years, which has resulted in a natural harmony and style reminiscent of times gone by. They endeavor to bring the music of early Appalachia to today’s audiences in its original form, keeping alive the traditions and keepsakes of an era long past.
David and Delois Sherman and Elmer and Peggy Sherman Bentley, hail from London Kentucky, and could be considered a legacy of the Renfro Valley tradition, having performed on the Saturday Night Barn Dance and the Sunday Morning Gatherin’ in the mid-to-late 1970s.
