Rick Aiken
Born and raised in Murphy, North Carolina, Rick’s musical career began early in life when he started hitting the keys on his Grandpa’s old upright piano at the age of six years old. By the time he was fourteen, Rick had formed his first Gospel quartet, performing with the Sego Family, the Inspirations, the Hoppers and Steve Sanders.
Moving to Louisville, Kentucky, in 1976, where he currently resides, Rick began playing piano, banjo and dobro for several Jamborees. In 1995, Rick and his wife, Renda, started their own country music show featuring Rick and the award-winning Country Cookin’ Band. Rick and the band worked with such artists as Connie Smith, Gene Watson, and as Helen Cornelius’ road band.
Rick is honored to be a part of Renfro Valley and is looking forward to many years of great shows in the Valley.
