Porter Corum

Porter CorumPorter Corum’s musical career started the early age of nine years old. By age eleven he learned to play the guitar, bano and fiddle. Even as a toddler growing up in Winchester, KY, he loved to play the harmonica. At fourteen he played with the regiional bluegrass band “Homer Ledford and the Cabin Creek Band. He moved on to the country band called “Muddy Creek” who opened for for such artists as Hank Williams, Jr., Ronnie Milsap, Ricky Skaggs, and more. Porter also toured and played lead guitar with Johnny Paycheck before returning to his roots.

Porter says that playing at Renfro Valley has always been a dream he’s wanted to fulfill. Another dream of his came true when he cut his first CD in 2004 with all-original songs.
