Artis Greene
Artis
Greene adapted a love of singing from a very early age when he sang in
church. A native of Maysville, Kentucky, he carried that love into college
where he was a five-year member of a Black Gospel Ensemble. He went on
to front his own band, “High Lonesome Sound,” which
he toured and performed with for five years. His love of singing and
performing is evident when he hits the stage.
In the Summer of 2000, Artis won a major talent contest in Lexington, Kentucky, where he was spotted by our Entertainment Director. He was invited to guest with us on the Jamboree show and was a hit with Renfro Valley guests. We invited him to come on board––and are glad he accepted. Artis resided in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
