Shefton Kash - Renfro Valley Entertainer

Shefton's family tells him that he was singing and strumming a guitar by the time he could talk.  "I found that I liked singing really well.  My biggest influences that made me want to pursue a "Country Music Career" were the great Keith Whitley and Johnny Cash.  I love their performances and their unique voice," says Shefton.

When Shefton was ten years old he joined a group called the "Richard Jett Singers."  Mr. Richard H. Hett promoted young people in their music dreams, and he had Shefton appear as a special guest on a lot of his "Appalachian Troubadour" shows for two years.  The Appalachian Troubadours were another group of young talents who performed at a variety of Kentucky state parkes and festivals.  Shefton also performs at a long-list of other venues, but loves performing on the Renfro Valley stage.

Not only does Shefton perform and sing, he helps his family raise tobacco and hay.  "I love working on the farm with all my family and friends.  We have a great time working together," Shefton says.

Shefton plans to pursue a country music career after recieving a Bachelor's of Science Degree as a Mortician.  He hopes to also earn a license as a Funeral Director and Embalmer.
